RATING
Seaplane rating for private pilots is a two day course.
It involves about five days of training, which covers instruction on basic water handling, idle and taxi procedures, normal takeoffs and landings, crosswind rough water, and glassy water techniques and emergencies. After training completion, a flight test will be conducted by a Cyprus D.C.A Examiner.
When the standards have been met, the Cyprus Civil Aviation will add on your Cyprus PPL a Seaplane rating.
The aircraft used for the Seaplane rating is the amphibian Republic Sea Bee.
